gathering the shambles
and seeking to pound
out hot tears and plead
perspective.
and it was beauty that
awaited to save.
A sun that rose in
stunning defiance now
kissing goodbye in the
setting working wonder
swept up the pieces.
and it was beauty that
embraced to save.
and pushed forth its
presence a complete
reflection encircled
white promise.
and it was beauty that
stayed to save.
The clinging shreds of
anger, resentment,
disappointment fled
under dual assault
of heavenly glow.
and it was beauty that
filled to save.
moon’s torch
shone brighter
and stretched long
a path of hope.
and it was beauty that
was made to save.
