31 Days to His Heart:: His Heart is Mercy {Day #6}

I’m humbly treading the hallowed ground of the Heart of God for the 31 days of October.  First we look deep into the Beauty of His heart, shown through God the Father and His Son Jesus, then, we peer into the fragile and yet powerful role of our own hearts as we seek His and learn to live it in this world.  To read the entire series go {here} 31 Days to His Heart.

May YOU be blessed with a touch of Him TODAY…He who desires and is Fully Worthy of ALL of our hearts!

Before we begin, let’s together become overwhelmed by the Waves of His Mercy…

^{Psalm 103}

³ who forgives all your sins
   and heals all your diseases,
⁴ who redeems your life from the pit    and crowns you with love and compassion,
⁸ The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
   slow to anger, abounding in love.
¹⁰ he does not treat us as our sins deserve
   or repay us according to our iniquities.
¹¹ For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
   so great is his love for those who fear him;
¹² as far as the east is from the west,
   so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
¹³ As a father has compassion on his children,
   so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
¹⁴ for he knows how we are formed,
   he remembers that we are dust.

Isaiah 63:9


In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

1. compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one's power;compassion, pity, or benevolence: Have mercy on the poor sinner.
2. the disposition to be compassionate or forbearing: 

Oh the tender mercies in the kindness of our God.  And when I think of His intimate knowledge of us, knowing every thought that passes through our minds, flows from our hearts…He knows we are dust.  Our frame is frail and He does not obligate Himself to Mercy as though as God He has to do it.
No.
It flows freely from His heart.  Bound in the Beauty of the Divine.  An extension of Love Supreme from all time and into all time and throughout all time.
This.  This Heart is an infinite well.  To think of all of His children throughout all time and the brokenness and the sin and the diseases and the disease of brokenness and sin and He forgives it. all.
And He forgives like only God can.  As far as the east is to the west.  How far is that?  So far that when you reach it is re-defined and becomes all the further, vaster, fuller.
I, my friends, could live and breathe and drink in all of my moments right here.
This is brilliant truth that allows the small, and frail, the human, and flawed to look full in the face of and come away forgiven.  healed.  whole. 

Praying His Heart

Praise You, God, whose Heart IS Mercy.  You forgive, and heal and make whole and there is no end.  For each wrong to Your holiness you remove from Your children infinite lengths.  Your heart of Mercy is the sweetest object of our gaze and Oh how we long for it to hold just that.  That in the light of Your mercy we would become full of it too.  Full of You.  Your heart.  Grant us this mercy of mercies, to come to Your heart.  In Your Name we pray, Amen.

{ Friends, hoping you sense this sketchy path…trusting in these 6 days thus far you have been blessed as I have.  Praying for you that we would just contemplate Him and the wonders of His heart.  But, I want to let you in on a secret…we have yet to tip-toe with giddy happy toes en pointe and peer into His heart revealed.  Do you know who’s coming?? The flesh revelation of His heart…His Glory to bear a beauty that changes everything FOREVER…soon!}
